had a bit of a scare with my kitty yesterday now he has little booties on

#he got a piece of grass stuck in the cavity between his nose and mouth #and was coughing up blood #he’s doing much better now but we’re waiting on test results #bc the vet is worried bc he is skinny #and he may have something wrong with his thyroid #and bc he’s an older cat she did some tests and he may have kidney disease so I’m just rly hoping it’s early stages #non sims

I’ve been having really bad toothaches the past couple days so I went to the dentist to see what was going on and. I have to get a crown. Not even a FUN crown. The tooth type of crown that is really expensive and has a time consuming procedure and I

#THIS FUCKIN SUCKS BRO!!!!!!#Shima speaks #I mean this has been an ongoing problem with this specific tooth #My filling came out like months ago and they fixed it as best as they could #But my tooth was already like. Chipped. There's a big gap where the filling is #And try as she might! That filling isn't enough to support my tooth #Bc it started falling apart and that's why I've been in so much pain #So they're like yeah. You need a crown #Thankfully there's no infection or cavity or nerve damage so.#That's what I initially thought I thought I had a cavity or there was smth wrong with the nerves there #But nope my mouth is perfectly healthy.....besides this failing filling.......#I'm just upset bc I KNOW this is gonna cost me a fortune #And I'm already broke as it is uhghhhh #I gotta open up shop soon. Help me pay my dental bills. Lmao #The thing that sucks about this the most is that this is a baby tooth. I STILL HAVE SOME BABY TEETH #But there's no adult tooth under this one! So it's not like I can ask them to pull it out #Sighs #At the very least I got my dentist to prescribe me stronger painkillers bc advil is NOT doing it for me #Pwease I need the drugs. hello everyone i have a dentist appointment tomorrow, pls send good vibes to see if they can make my mouth stop fucken hurting

#i'm not like afraid of the dentist i had to get my mouth like completely fixed a few years ago so it's completely chill #three root canals nine cavities one extraction #that's what happens when you're depressed and don't brush your teeth for years kiddos #but now my mouth is fixed n stuff #this appointment is cause #essentially a problem i have is that my mouth is super disproportionate #my mouth is too small to hold all my teeth #and my tongue is way oversized #that leads to chronic teeth clenching/grinding which i can't even control bc it happens in my sleep #and im constantly biting my tongue and the side of my mouth #so like my tongue perpetually has deep bite marks in it #and the sides of my mouth are littered with sores #to my knowledge there's nothing they can actually do about that #i'm used to that stuff #what i'm going in for tomorrow though is #the back tooth in the top right side of my mouth is digging into the back of my mouth #there's not enough space for it there so it just digs into the flesh and the wound never heals since it doesn't get a break #i want them to pull that tooth #and i think the wisdom tooth under that guy also wants to come out #but obviously can't since there's already a fucken tooth there #i'm hoping once that tooth is pulled (if they'll be good boys and pull it for me) it'll give the wisdom tooth room to come in #cause that's exactly what happened on the opposite side of my mouth #got the back molar pulled and the wisdom tooth came in very nicely and didn't have to be removed or anything #ANYWAY THOUGH #tomorrow they're just gonna look at it im assuming since this is a new dentist #my old one stopped taking medicaid rip 😭#so that kinda sucks cause my mouth Hurts and they're not gonna like. do anything about it it yet #i had to wait like a month for an appointment slot to even be available 😬#anyway that concludes marshal mouth woes #marshal meows

My dead tooth broke off today 🙃

#''see a dentist'' I'M FUCKIN TRYING #injury tw #it sort of just gave up actually there wasn't a snap or anything it was like a dead toenail just yeeting itself #it felt a LOT looser than normal #i was paranoid about it even more than usual #last night while I was salt rinsing my mouth and stuff (I don't brush near it it's dangerous) it seemed FAR looser than normal #(not that having a fucked up tooth is normal)#and it kept tilting and getting caught on my lower teeth when I would do literally anything with my mouth incl. checking it with my tongue #there is still some tooth left at the base so the nerve is not exposed... yet... I think #there's the dark pink bits where the side of the tooth used to be touching the gum #part of that was already exposed from where the other half disintegrated last year #I had a very close look at what snapped off and it's the remaining part of the tooth above the gumline minus a small part #it didn't even really snap it sort of just disconnected it's quite deteriorated inside and you can see the #boundary between the layers of the tooth and how royally fucked the interior was from the expanding cavity #the remaining chunk doesn't have much discolouration but that's not to lighten the fact that it's BAD that the last piece broke off #I can't brush or chew on it (toothbrush would DEFINITELY have made it worse) and there is some toothpaste and other gunk #but the broken off piece kind of soft inside #I have actually swallowed by accident at least two other pieces that I know of when it first started falling apart #I chewed them #went 'wtf'#and swallowed them without parsing that it might've been that little cavity getting worse #I am RELIEVED that there's still some left and that the root is STILL FUCKING IN THERE #so there's no obvious DIRECT PATH TO MY BLOOD BRAIN BARRIER #(dental infections have the most horrifyingly direct path to both the brain and heart where they SPREAD)

When you're waiting at the dentist reception for an appoinent that should have started 15 minutes ago but you can't grumble because it is an emergency appoinent that just got fitted in 3 hours ago and you just want your teeth to stop hurting
